Xpand!2 - Computer crashed and lost license

My original laptop had a catastrophic failure. I tried to authorize Xpand!2 onto my new laptop using iLOK Manager but it said I must first go onto my old computer to do so. Obviously I can't do that. ILOK Support says I must come to the software manufacturer for a solution. How do I transfer my license off of a broken laptop?

    Thanks for posting!

You should have two activations per license. You can move these between systems but you would need to access the other computer to do so. You would need to deactivate the license on the old computer, move it to your iLok account and then move it to the new computer and activate it. If you can't do this, that license would be lost.

Try to activate a new license on this new computer:

    1) Open your ilok License Manager.
    2) Login to your account.
    3) Click on Licenses > Redeem Activation Code.
    4) Enter the authorization code for the plugin from your account page.
    5) Follow instructions to authorize and redeem the license.

If you continue to have trouble after that, our Tech Support team will be able to help you sort this out. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Software Authorizations Assistance Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Software Authorization Assistance from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
