Firewire 410 Pop and crackling on analog 1/2 in when nothing is plugged in

This happens on both Windows and Mac.

Windows 8.1 and 10 as well as latest OSX (I know that the drivers aren't meant to work for it, I've installed a prior version which allows it to be enabled without the mixer being accessible). I also have a SIIG card with two firewire 400 ports for PC.

Note that sounds are still being passed to the headphones and speakers even though I don't have any channels listed as an output source for analog 1/2.

I have a Cooler Master V1200 PSU so power shouldn't be an issue. Currently on IRQ 19 with only the network interface on it.

  • Hi Warren,

    Thanks for posting!

This sounds like it may be hardware related. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
