  • Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

This could be a lot of different things, so it's hard to tell without an example of the sound and your full set up. If you can provide a video or audio file, that would be more helpful.

Here are a couple things to start looking into:

    - Does this happen with your DAW closed?

    - Do you hear this sound through the headphones? Different speakers?

    - What are you recording? Will the sound continue even with all inputs turned down, phantom power turned off?

As always, start by trying different firewire and audio cables, as well as different firewire ports.

Let me know how this goes!

  • Thanks for your reply

    Here you have the sound
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-IY...

    - This sound existed when I am using sound forge or cuebase
    - I hear this sound in headphones and different speakers
    - If I use the other recording channel from the sound card, everything returns normally, it just exist when I use channel number one
    - Yes the sound continue even phantom power off

nothing related to audio cables or even firewire because I tried on another same model sound card without replacing any other thing, and the problem disapeared.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

    Sorry for the delay!

The certainly sounds like faulty hardware. if you've tested and confirmed the cables and mics are working correctly and this only happens with that first input, than it may be a hardware failure with the 610.

Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    or

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

Make sure to reference or link to this thread to help out the support team.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
