how can i get rid of delay in keyboard on my keystation 88. is it because of usb?

i have a brand new msi gaming laptop and tried protools and ablelite and the response is delayed. i run windows 10 with a 9 th gen i7 proccessor and 16 gb of ram. i dont know what the issue is

    Thanks for posting!

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble! Dealing with latency can be a little tricky as it is particular to your system setup. What do you have your sample rate set to? If it's operating above 48kHz, try reducing the rate to 44.1KHz. Have you tried adjusting your audio buffer size as well? If it is set too high, you will hear noticeable delays.

    Additionally, I would recommend testing the controller with a different USB cable and connecting to other USB ports on your computer, avoiding any USB hubs or adapters. If possible, use a USB cable with a ferrite bead. This will help to speed up and stabilize transmission from the keyboard.

    If you tend to use multiple applications while recording, close those out as it may be overwhelming your processor.
