How do I change the MIDI Channel for ONLY the Fader on my M-Audio "Keystation 49"?

I need to change the output MIDI channel on the fader only (I'm assigning it to the Master Fader in my DAW...) or all of the "buttons" (stop, play, rec, etc) without having to avoid playing the B below the top C on the keyboard (which coincides with the "Rec" button controller...)

  • Hey Just1Ghost,

    Thanks for posting!

This is a legacy product so support is limited. That said, from the available documentation it seems that the faders and transport controls cannot be independently assigned to separate MIDI channels. Selecting the MIDI channel for the Keystation will globally effect all controls.

Depending on the DAW that you are using, you may be able to override the remote control and MIDI map your software's master fader to the corresponding hardware control. I suggest checking your software's documentation to see if there is a MIDI Learn/Map feature available.

Let me know if you have any questions!
