How to map Oxygen 49 MK IV with Studio One 4 Pro ?

How to map Oxygen 49 MK IV with Studio One 4 Pro ?
Notes and Pads are Ok after the creation of a new keyboard (external device) in Studio One.
Transport functions control nothing even after creating a new surface control (tried Mackie Control before but no results).
I activate Auto button without success => is this button usefull for Studio One as there is no direct link for studio One ?
I try all the presets without success. I know preset 001 is for VIP. Is there a preset to use for Studio One ?
I try Midi Learn inside Studio One and achieve to assign some controllers to Studio One functions => is this manual mapping the only way to control Studio One or is it possible to do it easily ?
Thanks for your help.

  • Hey Progfusion,

    Thanks for posting!

The Oxygen 49 MKIV does not send Mackie protocol but its controls will send MIDI CC data that can be mapped to functions in Studio One. There is no DirectLink personality file for Studio One so you will not be able to use the AUTO function on the keyboard. Instead, as you mentioned, you will assign the outgoing MIDI CC data to parameters in Studio One via the MIDI learn function.

This PreSonus knowledge base article will show you how you can use Studio One's MIDI Learn function:

PreSonus - MIDI: Transport Control Assignment & MIDI Learn

    Hope that is helpful!

  • Hey Nick,

With Midi Learn and a second device (control device) in Studio One, I successed to assign controls to functions in Studio One.
Transport functions are Ok and for mixing (slider, pan, mute), I have to activate Auto on the keyboard.
It's Ok too to control virtual instruments.

    Thanks for your help.
