Oxygen 49 absent from Cubase Device Setup

I seem to have a bit of a problem. I own a 3rd gen Oxygen 49 USB Keyboard. I use it with Cubase. All the keys, sliders and knobs work fine, except for the transport buttons (play, record, etc), which are shown to have input in Cubase but with no effect.
I wanted to make the transport buttons work as well, so I installed the driver update [Oxygen 49 blue 1.3.0 PC 10-24-2010] and
[Oxygen 49 blue 1.1.6 10-29-2014 DirectLink for Cubase 6 and 7 for Windows]
But no matter what versions of these drivers I try to use, my keyboard just doesn't show up in the Cubase Device Setup>Add Device.
All installations have been done while Cubase was closed.
Any recommendations?

Windows 7 (x64) SP1
Cubase 6.0.7 (x64)

Thank you

  • Hey Stefan,

    Thanks for posting!

You can set up the Oxygen as a generic remote controller and import the Oxygen's XML file to take advantage of Cubase's volume, panning, and transport controls.

    M-Audio Oxygen 49/61 XML

The text document that is included with that XML file will outline the process more completely but essentially, you will be adding a Generic Remote controller, importing that XML file into Cubase, and it will be configured for use with those functions.

I hope that helps you! Let me know if you have any questions.
