keystation 49e stops working after a few minutes


I have tried to install my keystation 49e and use it with reason ,but sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt work.

Sometimes it works during a few minutes and then it stops working.

keyboard gived troubles when connecting it to my computer, so i installed "m-audio usb midi series driver 5.0.1(x64) setup wizard" and then it started recognizing it , but not completely

During all the time , the computer recognizes the keyboard, and it has power (And lights are on) but i have no midi comunication between keyboard and computer.

Reason doesnt recognize it (sometimes yes, sometimes not)

I cant find the problem, can someone help??

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. What operating system is your computer running? From your description, the issue doesn't sound related to the driver but most likely a USB connectivity problem. USB will transfer power and MIDI data on different pins so if a data pin is bent, your transmission may be inconsistent.

    I would suggest testing the Keystation with a different USB cable and connecting it to other ports on your computer. If you have both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, try connecting to the USB 2.0 ports first. If possible, test the controller with a different computer. Does the issue persist?

    If you try the above and are still having trouble, the Keystation's USB terminal may be damaged. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.


    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.
