Latency / detuning issue

My M-Track is not only suffering from some prohibitive latency issues, but is also detuning any signal put into it. Having tried it out on various different programmes (Audacity, Garageband and Logic), I think it’s fairly fair to say it’s likely a hardware, rather than software, issue... Help, please? Thanks!

    If your audio is being played back out of tune or sped up/slowed down, it sounds like you might be playing back the audio at a sample rate at which it was not originally recorded. Try this link for some additional information about how sample rates can affect audio playback:

    As far as the latency you're experiencing, you may have your audio buffer size set at too high a value. If the value is too high, it can introduce latency into your audio signal. I would advise lowering the value of this setting in increments until performance improves. It is a good practice to reduce audio buffer size setting incrementally as lowering it too much can introduce audio artifacts into your signal like crackling and popping. A properly balanced audio buffer setting will provide clear audio playback with the lowest possible amount of latency.

    If you're still having trouble, let's test the connection between the M-Track and the computer by connecting with a different USB cable and different USB ports on the computer. I would also recommend testing the M-Track with a different computer to see if you can reproduce the same behavior.
