M-Audio 1010LT 1&2 input malfunction

We've been using 1010LT since 2002 for multiple audio capturing. We still have 22 units (1010LT) in production, that is amazing after almost 20 years continuously 24/7/365, capturing 8 channels simultaneously with each board.

The problems we've had are almost always with input 1 or 2 or both, they just stop working, inputs from 3 to 7 are ok. We have 12 boards in that state and 1 that doesn't work at all. Capacitors seam ok, can't see any swelling or spilling.

Has anyone seen this problem and know how to fix it? Does anyone now witch capacitor belongs to the 1 and 2 inputs to try and swap them for new ones?

Best regards.

    Hey Joao,

    Thanks for posting!

I recommend contacting the parts team for component level inquiries. This is a legacy unit so they may not have access to the original service manual. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Parts Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Parts Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
