M Audio 2X2 Buzzing

Hi there,

I'm experiencing an issue with my M-audio M-track 2x2. It has a slight "input buzz" when recording via Logic X. The buzz starts when I begin sending signal into the device and ends when I mute my strings. Sometimes even when my strings are muted, I hear an intermittent buzzing sound.

I have tried multiple 1/4" jacks and instruments but still hear the buzzing sound.

I have not been able to test the device on another computer or with another USB-C cable but I am fairly certain the problem lies in my unit.

Obviously I can troubleshoot this problem with another USB-C chord and another computer, but is there any other solution that might be available? Given that it has been a year and half since I purchased this product, I am unsure if I still have a warranty.

    Hey Seth,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble! Are you hearing the buzz from both the Headphone and Master Outputs? Is the distortion occurring when the USB/Direct Blend knob is on Direct or USB?

I suggest connecting the interface to a different computer and USB cable. This will clearly identify a hardware problem if you are able to recreate the issue. In which case, you will need to contact our support team. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

Make sure to reference or link to this thread to help out the support team.

I hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
