Hi all,
I have updated to Mojave on my Macbook and my axiom controller does not work. I can confirm that it also did not work in High Sierra and I thought an update would fix this.
I cannot see the controller in the MIDI Studio in the Audio MIDI Setup. I use Logic Pro X 10.4.2. I do not believe this problem relates to Logic as I am not receiving any MIDI data and the controller is not being found.
I have tried different cables and got it to work on a friend's computer.

I have done the below and since the device has been recognised in MIDI Studio

Still nothing, I am trying the MIDI Monitor and not receiving any MIDI information. There is nothing in the MIDI Driver folders. -

Just tried an M-Audio Axiom 49 and it worked perfectly so no idea what the heck is going on

Hey George,
Thanks for posting!
Sorry you're having some trouble with that! Both the Axiom AIR mini 32 and the Axiom 49 are class compliant devices so they use the (same) Core MIDI driver built into your computer in order to connect. You will not need to install a driver in order to use these controllers.
We know that the Axiom is working if you were able to connect it and send MIDI data to another computer so if you can resolve the issue with the computer you're using, you should be able to continue using the controller. This knowledge base article will help you troubleshoot your Axiom AIR mini 32:
M-Audio - Troubleshooting USB MIDI devices on Mac
I hope that helps you!-
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your speedy reply. Unfortunately, I went through and tried all of these. One thing I tried which seems to be working now is connecting my MIDI keyboard into a powered USB 3 hub. I don't suppose you could explain why this works at all?

does it specifically have to be a powered usb 3 hub? I have a usb hub with 3.0 and 3.1 ports, and none of them recognise the device. It's infuriating, really.

Hi, I have kind of the same problem... the keyboard is recognized on my colleague's macbook pro late 2018 with garage band but not on my imac 2013 with both mac os 10.14 nor 10.15 :(
I saw another user's recent post who said he bought a USB3 hub and it worked for him. Has anyone succeed with it?
Thanks. -

I had the same problem with an M-Audio keystation, here's what worked for me:
In Midi Studio, click the "Default" drop down in the toolbar and select "New Configuration"
Give the new configuration a name other than "default"
As soon as I did this my device showed up in the new configuration. It still does not work if I revert to the "default" configuration.
Hope this works for others too. -

Hi,
I have the same problem.
OS Mojave and using Ableton live 9 with Axiom air mini 32.
Until this update, the Axiom ran fine.
The device turns on, Ableton recognises it as the controlling device for the channels,
the midi studio recognises it, BUT... it doesn't work. I can't control the basic Ableton functions, and theres no sound coming out of it. Also tried testing it on Midi Monitor which sees it but no information seems to come in.
I've tried (probably almost) every solution out there but nothing works..
Please help -
