M-Audio Bass Traveler causing a constant humming?

Whenever my headset is plugged into the bass traveler, I constantly hear a weird distracting humming noising no matter how quiet or loud my headset is. If I turn the volume on the traveler up the noise gets louder and vice versa for down. If I plug my headphones directly into my computer I don't get any static buzz, and it also does it with some apple earbuds, any suggestions?

I tried using different aux cords for my headset and the traveler as well and no matter how many new cords I used, nothing happened.

    Hi,

Sorry you are having trouble with that.

Here's a few things to try and see if anything changes:

    - Turn the volume down on your computer/device
    - Try the bass traveler with a different device, like a phone or tablet
    - Turn off the Bass Boost
    - Try the other headphone port on the Bass Traveler
    - Make sure that the battery is fully charged

If you continue to have trouble, this could indicate a hardware problem. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • I tried the few things you told me and the last one got me thinking that maybe its overcharged or something since I usually have it plugged in 24/7. Needless to say I unplugged the power cable and the static is completely gone!

Thank you very much, glad to see this thing is still working good.
