M-Audio Code 61 Faders does NOT connect with Cubase Elements 9.5

I tried following so many tutorials but nothing seems to work.
I tried going to the "Device Setup"
I tried changing my keyboard to Mac/Hui, and connect, it does not work
I tried going to generic remote, and map the controller, it does not work
I tried just to use MIDI and connect it in the "Quick Control" Section, it does not work
I tried looking for the "xml file" and download and input, but I can't find where that is.
I tried MY BEST AND IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!
Pads and Notes all worked well, and nothing on the top (Zone, Rewind, Forward, Stop, Play, Record, Faders, XY Pad) work.
THE KNOBS WORK WHEN WORKING WITH HALION SONIC SE 3
I've been struggling with it for 2 months and I can't just return it coz it's too overtime.
Please help solve.

  • Hey Alex,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry you're having some trouble getting set up! The Code's faders will need to be sending Mackie control and set to Mackie/HUI mode (by pressing the Fader Mode button so the display reads MACHUI). The same principles apply to the Code's knobs and buttons. The transport controls will also be automatically mapped once you've configured a Mackie Control device in Cubase. Port 3 is the Code's Mackie/HUI port so be sure to select that as the input for your Mackie Control device in Cubase.

This knowledge base article will walk you through the process of completely setting up your Code with Cubase:

M-Audio Code Series - Setup in Cubase

Follow the guide carefully and you'll be all set to control Cubase with your Code! I hope that's helpful!

  • Thank you, it helped me connect the faders.
BUT!!! After I did so, whenever I move my faders it somehow transpose one or some instruments, it changes its sounds or it actually transpose for me up or down a semitone. This is so weird!!! HELP
