    Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

When the monitor mix knobs is turned all the way to "USB" you will only hear playback from your computer. As soon as it begins being turned back towards "Direct" you are mixing the signal with the signal from the M-Track inputs, which I'm guessing in this case is just silence.

Any 'high frequency response' in this case will be coming from your computer and the files that you are playing. You may also want to consider the level of your monitors, the cables you are using and any EQ or effects that you may be using in your software.

    I hope this helps!

    HI thanks for the reply.

the problem is if i play a audio file and the Monitor mix all the way down and main level is up, i hear Low Bass frequencies and if i turn the main level down and turned the monitor mix to all the way usb i hear some mid and high frequencies.

as you said i checked the cables and speaker level everything is normal.

the sound signal travel through my computer>interface>studio monitor.if my Interface Main Volume level is all the way down . why am i still hearing mid and high frequency. isnt that main volume level of interface job not to allow any signal if is turn down.?

This sounds like it may be hardware related. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple options you can choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    or

    • For faster support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
