Unable to use M-Audio on Cubase 7 Elements (Windows 8.1) - "Devices>Device Setup>VST Audio System>ASIO Driver>M-track Quad ASIO Driver" results in error message saying "No hardware found or already in use!"
We tried reinstalling the driver, stopping it running before opening Cubase and installing a previous driver, all to no avail... any suggestions?

Hello Stephen,
Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear you're having trouble!
Do you have another program you can test with?
Does the M-Track work to playback audio from other Windows programs like an internet browser or music player? -

Hi
Stephen, were you able to resolve it?
Dan
I'm having the same issue, Windows 8.1 x64.
I've just purchased the M-Track II card, installed the driver (M-Track 1.0.6) and tried to connect it with Cubase 5.1. When I try to switch to the "M-track Quad ASIO" driver I get the same error:
"Devices>Device Setup>VST Audio System>ASIO Driver>M-track Quad ASIO Driver" results in error message saying "No hardware found or already in use!"
The "M-Track Audio Device Monitor" windows service is running and its Startup type is set to "Automatic" however, when I click the "M-Audio M-Track Device Settings" shortcut nothing is happening, no icon in the system tray (if should be) .
Please help, this is getting very frustrating. -

My bad!! Looks like I installed the wrong driver.
I had the M-Track 1.0.6 driver installed which was for the M-Track card. I should have install the "M-Track (MKII) Windows Driver v1.0.2". After doing so I was able to switch the ASIO driver in Cubase. -

This Driver or drivers, do not work for Windows 8.1 at all, i tried Ableton live, Nuendo, Cubase, 3 different platforms and all them reject the audio driver completely. i have uninstalled the driver over and over and i really should have to, i absolutely regret spending a penny on this product, i most likely wont be able to take it back and im stuck with it. Last hope was to install an older version of windows

I tried the MKII driver, nothing and i tried the M-track one, nothing, super frustrating when you get zero support or nothing resolved for this.
