m-track 2x2 no sound input in specific program

M-track 2x2 cant get a signal for a tuner i was using because its easy and free. Anyway the program is called Pitchperfect musical instrument tuner. it has a drop down box to select the device but no input is coming through. It works fine in most other programs i've tried. i can hear audio through to pc with listen checked in properties tab in recording tab. its like its a driver issue maybe i'm not sure. Im sure there maybe other programs to use that will work. it works fine in there other software but only with an option labeled (asio) m'track 2x2. any ideas? this isn't critical it would just be nice to have it work. I didn't realise this was a fairly recent product. i liked the look of it because it matched well with all my other black and silver equipment.

    Hi Nick,

    Thanks for posting!

If the M-Track is working fine with other software, than the M-track and it's driver are not the problem. The M-Track does require the ASIO driver to work properly, which some software (maybe Pitchperfect?) may not support. ASIO drivers have become pretty standard over the years.

One thing about ASIO drivers though, is that they are single-client, meaning they may have trouble if you have more than one piece of software open and using the device simultaneously. Try and close your other software before opening the tuner.

Assuming that you are using this to tune a guitar, make sure that you are using the instrument input on the front and have turned the gain up on your guitar and preamp accordingly. Ideally, the -6 light on the meter should be lighting up at it's loudest point.
