M-track 8x4m for easy livestream

Hi M-audio dev
First, the 8x4m i bought was great. There is no problem when using it with DAWs for recording and the quality of sound is great too.

But it seem like all channel of it will work as mono track when in DAWs, and when not using with DAWs (like i use it for livestream and record video with NVIDIA EXPERIENCE for easy setup), channel 1 and 2 will work together as stereo (which mean if i use 1 mic for channel 1, the sound i record in video only hear at left channel or right channel if i use channel 2. The same as channel 3 or 4...)

I just check the sound record tab in windows and see this. So i have an idea which is if you can update the driver (even with firmware if possible) to make all channel separate like LINE 1, LINE 2, LINE 3... not LINE 1/2 , LINE 3/4... so that Window can treat it as mono track and i can record video and hear my voice at both left and right.
Or you can do another standalone software like mixer so we can config all channel.

I'm fine with phantom power only turn on for both LINE 1 and 2, 3 and 4.

    Hey Longngao,

    Thanks for posting!

That is a great point! I definitely see how access to individual inputs would be beneficial for interfacing with your computer. The good news is that you can already enable the Mono Audio option in your Windows Settings.

To do this, navigate to the Ease of Access panel in your Settings Preferences. Click on the Audio tab to the right and activate Turn on mono audio. This will sum your left and right audio channels (1,2 or 3,4, etc.) into one mono channel.

Now, you will be able to hear your mic as if you only had Input 1 of the M-Track selected and not as a partial signal of a stereo channel.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for reply my topic. But turn on mono audio option is sum my speakers channel, not input channels. The audio channel that they mention is speaker channels.
I think this option is good for playing few genre of games like MOBA or RTS.
The way i see of this is far more for gaming stuff, like i have a band and we want to livestream when we playing few songs. Having the mixer software for 8x4m is a best option we can ask for.

Anyway, thank you for your help. I am still looking forward for your 8x4m update.
