M-Track and Adobe Audition 1.5

I am using M-Audio M-Track interface with Adobe Audition 1.5 on Windows 10. It used to work fine, but now I cannot record and it says “The specified format is not supported or cannot be translated. Use the capabilities function to determine the supported formats”.
If I change the M-Track device settings sample rate from 48000 to 44100 it will record, but I cannot hear the previously recorded tracks to play along with. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for posting.

You may want to check with Adobe to clarify about that error, but it seems to me like you just have opposing sample rates. You want the M-Track and the project to both be set the same. Maybe check if you can set the project to 48000 instead of the M-track to 44100. Adobe may just not play tracks at differing sample rates.

One thing you could do is just try and start a brand new project, check the sample rates and see if recording new tracks will throw up any error messages.

Let me know how this goes!
