m track drivers for windows 8.1

When will drivers for the M-track be available for Windows 8.1? The 1.0.6 drivers are almost a year old and don't work on 8.1. I'm currently using "asio for all" freeware drivers that work for opening protools but I can only run audio from one application at a time.

  • Hello William,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble!

New software or driver released will be announced on the M-Audio website, in the Drivers/Updates section.

Although we will notify the M-Audio forums when new releases become available, they will first be announced on the M-Audio website. We are unable to discuss the status or development of unreleased products and updates.

  • Guys, I want to share my experience on the driver installation and see if it works for you.

    1. First download the drivers from the m-audio site.

    2. Second, you have to open the .zip file and extract this file "Install M-Audio M-Track Series Windows_1.0.6" to your desktop. Just drag and drop it on your desktop.

    3. Now you have to open this file with 7zip, WinZip, or WinRar (the one you prefer)
See the images below. When you get to the "MSI" folder you will see the installation files for 32 bit and 64 bit OS. Drag and drop the one you want on your Desktop, then right click and select "rename". Here you have to add ".msi" to the name of file and you will get the installation file.
This worked fine on windows 8.1 while the downloaded file from m-audio wouldn't run the install at all.

    Cheers
