Mtrack recording in lower pitch

Mtrack records in a lower pitch. Using audacity. My guitar is in standard tuning but yet it records down a whole step

  • TJ I have never heard of an interface doing that. Does this happen in every project? Have you double checked your settings in Audacity? Thank you!

  • My problem is similar, sort of. My first track records in Audacity fine enough. The problem is when I am overdubbing. The first track has a crackling popping with bits of sound cut out in rapid succession, instead of a smooth playback while recording a second track. Also, I noticed that the speed of the piece is slower while recording which leads to the second track being a tone or so higher. The tone while recording the second track seems to be okay, but the final playback is way out of key.
I am afraid to change any settings on Audacity or on the computer itself and I do not want to load the pro tools express yet because I have unfinished projects before I got this new MTrackPlus. I had been using the Audigy2 Platinum interface which is in front of the computer and have had no issues with it. Since we are getting a new computer, I thought I would get a portable interface to go with that, and this is why I bought the mtrackplus recently.
