I’m feeling disconnected

my mtrack mk2 plus keeps connecting , and disconnecting ... i run windows 10 and have 2 brand new mk2's

when its plugged in it keeps popping and shutting off and back on again ... this is the second brand new one i have ordered ,... no idea what the problem is .. ive tried setting the usb to not shut off for power saving , ive re installed drivers , ive ordered a new one ... nothing changes ... its actually worse because sometimes cubase doesnt even see that its plugged in .. but i can see that its on .... any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated . thanks in advance .

    Thanks for posting.

    The next step would be to test with a different computer. If this is the second M-Track, it's unlikely that the interface is the problem, though we can't truly determine that until you can test a different computer. Even if it's just to play back audio from iTunes or Youtube.

    You will of course want to try different USB cables as well.

    If you continue to have trouble, please contact our Tech Support team directly so that someone can take a closer look at your setup. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    or

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

    well since i posted this .. i installed a copy of win 7 home on my PC and got a new usb cable ... seemed to do the trick . THANKS !

  • This hardware is NOT compatible with Windows 10, almost all of the UK retailers have stopped selling this unit (the company I purchased it from - Scan removed it on my advice and after showing them responses here). So far I've been told it's a ram issue or a USB port issue but I can assure you it's the drivers. The compatability is even worse on the Anniversary (Redstone) update
