I’m frustrated

Connecting Oxygen 49 (3rd Gen) to computer

Ok so, I have a Oxygen 49 3rd (Gen) and when I try and plug it into my Mac NOTHING WILL POP UP? It's annoying and I have been trying to solve this issue with so many different things and nothing works!? I really need help.

    Thanks for posting!

    Sorry you're having trouble with your Oxygen! This controller is class compliant with Mac OS which means it does not require a driver in order to connect to your computer. I would definitely recommend testing with a different USB cable, with different USB ports on your computer, and testing with a different computer to see if you can reproduce the same behavior. The following knowledge base article will help you troubleshoot your Oxygen's connection:

    M-Audio Troubleshooting Class Compliant USB Computer Peripherals

    Does your computer register the Oxygen's connection at all? If it does not, you can try to reconfigure your MIDI Studio. To do this, open Audio MIDI Setup and select Window > Show MIDI Studio. Select the field above Configuration and select New Configuration... Your computer will prompt you to name this configuration then it will rescan for MIDI devices.

    Try that and let me know if you are still having trouble connecting!

      If you have completed the steps above and you are still unable to use your Oxygen to input MIDI data to your computer, this sounds like it may be hardware related and it will require service. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

      • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

      or

      • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.
