I’m anxious

Please help profire 610 no longer working blue power light always on!

Can someone please help me figure out what is the problem!
My profire 610 is no longer recognized by my pc. Connected to the pc or not the blue light is always on and never blinks when pc turns off like before!
(Do you guys confirm that when its not connected blue light blinks!??)
Anyway this happened from last night after a lightening when my pc, my tv etc all rebooted. everything else is working fine but the profire!

Is there anything I can do or test?
Please help me as I really rely on this sound interface for my work (singing)

    Thanks for posting! Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

    When the blue light is blinking, that Profire is not connected or synchronized with a computer for some reason or another.

    If it was after lightning, then this is probably due to the power surge. It would be best to install the Profire on another computer. If it also does not work on another machine, then we'd know it is probably the Profire (rather than the computer FireWire card or connections).

    If that's the case, I'd recommend contacting a technical support team or your local distributor to talk about service options.

    this thing happes to me for the second time...First time I have send it back to absolutemusicsoulution.co.uk and they send it back to me saying that the card have no problem...of course they supposed to replace it with a new one, but I believe that they fix it and say it had no problem cause was on warranty for another two weeks, and was no point for them to give me a new one, bastards.now the card having the same issue and I feel I want to smash it with the hammer. I will never ever buy another M audio product. Any ways the card got broken 3 times and I only use it for music production in FL... bad product for the money I payed at that time....nonsens.

  • Got the same problem here...
    Too many problems with this interface... I guess I shouldn't bought this one.
    I got more than 3 products of M-Audio and they all got different problems.. this is really sucks.

    after blinking light in my flat this card stop working, no blue light, only if I turn on fantom, color becomes red, and PC doesn't see my card. After buying this interface there is no days without problems. Hate this card!!!

  • iam furious with that sounds card, the syncing do not apply, then the blue light refuses to light on or even flick. (plugged to the computer or not) it refuses to get synced. i already dismounted the device, and nothing that i could do ,
    Then now i must to keep the card switch to on for the rest of his life.
    i hat m-audio they don't provide a consistent support when the issue is too complex.
    (especially up to date drivers)

    Any way to hard reset the cmos ? or reset the syncing at the boot of the device ?

    Finally i let the device switch to on, with the panthom power at some moment, then now one hour has passed , the blue light is finally working again( or i mean the syncing)
    yesterday by inadvertence, i might have switch off the power, and today,it makes me furious again i can't to listen any music ...

    so the workaround i can suggest for those who run into such of troubleshoot
    unplug the device from the computer switch the power off, enable the phantom power, enable the power on again, let the device to resolve the syncing, at some moment it might happen somehow miraculously. but be patient
