Code Series - Program Changes and Zones

Is it possible to have any fix of this senseless limit ???? I saw there have been tons of critics and help requests for having the chance to disable or set to "null" the program change message while turning on zones. I also saw there has been no answer from M-audio. Could you please explain us WHY you are not able to add this feature? Working with IPad apps is almost impossible. By my side I will never suggest buying code series controllers to anybody will ask me about.

I've found a tip that only works if your sound module (synth, vst, app...) has less than 128 program memories (it works very well with my roland boutique synths, only 64 patch memories) :
I program the presets of my Code61 with a program change number greater than the capacity of my synths (127) : now my synths don't change anymore the patch I chose before ! I too was very annoyed before I found this tip...

The other thing that bugs me is the Code's midi in which doesn't retransmit to midi out. I have to buy a midi box to resolve this

and if your module has more than 128 memories, try sending a greater number with bank lsb and msb (don't know if this will work)

  • Hey Saverio,

    Thanks for posting!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with that! The intentions of zone program changes are to make it so that the zone always uses the same program but I do understand why you may not always want to send that data. I have forwarded a request to the development team to consider this in a future update for the Code. Have you had a chance to try what doudoudu26 suggested? Did you have any luck with that?

    Let us know!

yes sometimes we don't want to send program change data.

My Code61 pilots 4 different synths, I often change the one I play in the same song : I don't want the previous synth I played to automatically change its patch when I return to it, so for me that's everytime

    Good evening,
One month ago I've been told from an M-Audio employe ( see above) that " I have forwarded a request to the development team to consider this in a future update for the Code".
I suddently noticed that this problem has been reported in this community over 3 years ago, with no solution given ( search for "Code 61 Disable program change, multi-MIDI Sustain " ) Did he report the same problem 3 years ago and send a kind reminder? .....................I feel fooled|

Without a feedback asap, I'll ask for a refund and never suggest buying code series controllers to anybody will ask me about.

I had a very different opinion about M-Audio before this unbeleavable limit and customer's """""satisfaction"""" experience.
