trigger finger pro not connecting

I got a trigger finger pro in decemeber and it worked just fine. One day my computer was acting up really bad so I reset my whole computer. after I reset it, my trigger finger pro will not turn on at all. I tried all of the usb ports on my tower and NOTHING! Weird thing is, when I power up my computer while the trigger finger is plugged in, the trigger finger pro will light up for about 5 seconds and then it wont work at all. Another weird thing is, it works completely fine with any other computer. My friend brought his MAC over and we hooked it up to the MAC and it works completely fine. So I know my trigger finger is not broken. Can somebody please help me. I don't want to go buy a whole new tower just because my trigger finger pro wont work. I tried un-installing and re-installing all of the software and drivers and nothing seems to work for me. very upset because I want to use my trigger finger so bad and I just cant!!!

Hi Dock. It appears your problem is not so much tgat Trigger Finger Pro won't work Rather, given the conditions you've identified -- you likely have a computer problem.

Your system (PC? Mac? Which is it, and what version OS are you on?

Thst said, I'm not sure we here in this forum can help you with a computer defect.

But here are some things that come to my mind:

    1. You say your computer was acting up, but never described what type/OS version number, and *how* it was acting up.

    2. I wonder if your machine's files on its harddrive was terribly fragmented (especially if an older Windows PC), and in need of maintenance on your part (e.g., running the Windows Degragmenting utility).

    3. I also wonder if you forgot to mske certain your computer is powered through a really decent surge protector (with a joules rating of st keast 1800), and that protector is not now old, and useless. It could be files were corrupted -- or worse, some USB-related hardware on your motgerboard got fried during s power surge.

Why not connect other USB devices and nake certsinvthey're functioning OK?

If in Windows, I'd go to SYSTEM > Device Manager and check the list of devices there, to see if any yelliw triangle (warning indicators) are alerting you to missing or malfunctioning drivers, then seek computer-expert help from there. I hope something here gets you in the right direction...

  • Hi Dock,

    Thanks for posting.

As TFP Noob mentioned, this is a problem with your computer. Likely something wrong in BIOS. Maybe it needs updating, or maybe you need to update component drivers after resetting everything. You'll need to speak with the computer's manufacturer or an Apple/Microsoft tech support to determine this and guide you through it.

Let me know me know if you have any more questions.
