Turn track on/off via buttons below faders - Code49 / Ableton Live Lite

With my Code49, how can I program the buttons below the faders to toggle between turning an assigned track on/off in Ableton Live Lite? With mapping I can only get it to either turn on or off, but not toggle between on/off.

  • Hey Aamish,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry you're having some trouble with that! First, be sure to set up your Code in Live as shown in the following knowledge base article:

M-Audio Code Series - Setup in Ableton Live

Once you've done that, use the Button Mode button to set the buttons under the faders to send MIDI data (display will read MIDI). Turn on MIDI mapping in Live and assign the buttons under the faders to the numbered track icons in Live. If the buttons are set to momentary behavior they will send an on and off message per press. This will allow you to push the button one time to turn the track off and push it again to turn it back on.

    I hope that helps you!
