Two M-Audio Firewire 1814 units?

Can two M-Audio Firewire 1814 units be used together for a total of 36 inputs and 28 outputs?

I guess this is possible in OSX using the aggregate device method but what about windows?

P.S: I could not find the 1814 on the tags, so ignore the Profire 610.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

You'll only be able to use one Firewire 1814 at a time, though you could use an aggregate setup on a Mac if you're willing to try it.

I don't believe that Windows has it's own version of this. The closest equivalent may be using ASIO4ALL to combine devices, though I'm not sure how well this will work with two 1814's. Check out the article below for some more info on this:

    Using Multiple Audio Interfaces

    I hope this helps!
