Unable to open air drum expansion packs

Hi

I've downloaded the 3 air drum expansion packs that came with the trigger finger pro but I am unable to open them. They appear as exe files on my desktop and when i click on one of them to run it says 'Set Up Failed - a required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the time stamp in the signed file'. Please can someone help. Thanks.

  • Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for posting!

I'm not sure why this is happening, but you can resolve it by simply changing your Windows date and time settings.

    For example:

    - Click on your Date and Time in the bottom right of your screen
    - Select "Change Date and Time Settings..."
    - Now set the date to January 8th 2015
    - Now hit Ok and exit
    - Try running the installer again

It should install this time and you'll be free to change the date and time back to it's correct setting.

Let me know if this works for you!

  • Thanks. That worked and all kits loaded :-) I do have one other issue. When I attempt to record a drum sequence from TFP onto my DAW (Cubase 6) the timing is not syncronised. There is a delay between the first beat on cubase and the first beat on TFP. I have changed all the MIDI syncronisation settings on Cubase as stated in the Cubase manual but it still does not work. Is there a solution to this? Unfortunately the TFP is no good to me if I cannot record sequences from it. Thanks. Kevin.

  • Hi Kevin,

Just to be sure, make sure that you have gone through our setup guide and configured everything on the TFP correctly:

Trigger Finger Pro - Cubase Setup

If so, make sure that you test this with a blank session. Any plugins applied, especially to the master bus, could affect this.

You could also be looking at some known Cubase/Windows MIDI problems. This Cubase guide goes into more detail:

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply Corey. I'm trying to make sense of the Steinberg link that you sent to me (it is not very clear). Surely M-Audio should have mentioned these issues to Cubase users prior to selling the TFP as fully integrated with Cubase (including the midi synchronisation). I have no interest in using the TFP for live performances. I really wanted to program sequences into the TFP and record them into my Cubase sequencer (seamlessly) but I cannot do this at the moment because the play button on the TFP is not in sync with the Cubase record button. It is really frustrating because the TFP is not doing what it is supposed to do. I am considering sending it back for a refund. One other issue that I have is that Arsenal does not load any of my Steinberg VST's. I thought it was supposed to load all VST?? Please help me to resolve these issues or I will have to send the TFP back for a refund.

  • Hi Corey.

I have finally managed to resolve the timing issue in Cubase by clicking a few things as you suggested and also clicking on the auto quantize button. Thanks for the advice.

I have another issue. Arsenal only shows my Retrologue and Pad Shop VST's in the plugin list and there are no presets shown for them. Do I need plugin maps and if so would you be able to supply them. All my other plugins do not appear on the Arsenal plugin list at all. They are all genuine Steinberg 64bit plugins. This is the list; Hypnotic Dance, Dark Planet, Treibwerk, Padshop, Retrologue, Prologue, Spector and Mystic.

Some of the plugins are VST3. Is there a compatibility issues or should Arsenal be able to run VST3 plugins?

    Thanks

    Kevin
