I’m frustrated

Unresponsive Pads Trigger Finger Pro

For no reason what so ever, a while back the 1st & 7th pad on my TFP barely work at all.. like 3-5% of the time.. what could be causing this? it's not a software issue.. this is without a doubt hardware related since i've tried with different pcs & macs..

Please help.. this is a really annoying problem to have..

p.s : I don't hit the pads hard so that's not what did it..

  • Hey Mike,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry you're having trouble with the TFP. Let's quickly verify how the TFP is sending MIDI data with MIDI monitoring software.

    For testing on PC:
    MIDI-OX

This video will get you set up quickly for Input Monitoring in MIDI-OX:
    Monitoring MIDI Input with MIDI-OX

    For testing on Mac:
    snoize: MIDI Monitor

If the controller is not sending MIDI data consistently and accurately to the input monitor, it sounds like this may be hardware related. If it is sending data when you trigger it, let me know. Don't no if this is your problem, but I had pads 1 and 3 do the same..and I found out it was a bit of dirt, dust or something similar got under the pads, could of been the smallest bit as they are so sensitive, took it apart to get to pads, and is working fine now...
