Velocity/Aftertouch issues with M-audio 88ES

Hi, I have bought a secondhand m-audio88es to use with Logic pro x. I've tried it on 2 different macs and get the same issue. The triggering of notes takes a while when the keyboard hasn't been touched for a while. After I hit a few notes it seems to kick in. But the worst part is the velocity or aftertouch is all over the place, suddenly going to the top velocity and then soft not completely randomly but more at extremes. Anyone heard of this before. Using OS X 10.9.5 on and Imac 5k 27" 32gb i7 3.5ghz

    Thanks for posting!

    I've never seen that before with a Keystation, but combined with the delayed start issues, it could be hardware related (i.e. something loose or connected poorly inside). I only say that because you've already tested with two different computers. The last test you may want to do is test with a MIDI monitor:

    Using a MIDI Monitor to test your device

    If you continue to have trouble though, contact our Tech Support team for further assistance. Here are a couple options you can choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    or

    • For faster support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.
