Windows 10 / Oxygen 49 "No driver available"

Hello all.
It seems that Windows 10 64Bit needs a driver for my oxygen 49 silver.
It recognises the oxygen 49 but says "No Driver available"!
So Cubase 8 Elements doesn't find the Oxygen 49.

Thanks in advance

Keason

  • Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

The Oxygen MKIII and MKIV series is class-compliant, meaning it is using drivers built into your OS. it's possible that these were not installed with your OS, though it could just be a bad USB cable or port.

Check out our guide on troubleshooting class-compliant devices:

    Troubleshooting Class-Compliant Devices

If possible, try a different computer as well. Let me know how it goes!

  • Hi Corey,
    thanks for your quick reply.
And sorry for my late one.
So nothing from the above worked out.
I think it was a special problem to my machine
and the upgrade from W7 to W10.
Because i had other problems too beside the USB-thing.
I tried to switch back to W7 and it was a desaster.
So the last chance to get a working system was to
    install W7 from scratch.
    Now everything is fine again.
Thanks for your help anyways and have a nice weekend!

    Regards
    Keason

  • Good to hear you were at least able to get it working again, even if it's on Windows 7. Please let me know if you have any more questions!

  • I am not able to get my Oxygen 49 Silver to work on my Windows 10 Home rig!

Pro Tools 10 HD as well as FL Studio 11 PE will not recognize my M Audio Keyboard!

Is there a fix coming out for Windows 10 and the m-Audio Oxygen 49 Silver???

    • Hi Anthony,

Make sure to go through our troubleshooting guide:

      Troubleshooting Class-compliant Devices

You may also want to make sure that the system updated your USB component drivers as well:

      1) Open Device Manager.
      2) Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
      3) Right-click the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click Uninstall to remove it.
      4) Repeat the above step for each USB controller that is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
      5) Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.

Make sure that you also try different USB cables and ports. If this is a desktop, make sure to try both USB ports in the front and back of the computer.

      I hope this helps!

  • Solution:
This is worth a shot for the M-audio Oxygen silver series as well. but download the driver for the silver series instead.

I don't know if this may still be relevant or at least help someone else connect their M-Audio Oxygen 25/49/61 3rd gen (blue) to windows 10.

I was actually looking for solution myself before I burst into this space.

Assuming your Oxygen is detected by the computer and show up with a Yellow label/icon in the "Others" categories of the Device Manager (in Windows).

Download the latest driver here http://www.m-audio.com/support/downlo...
before install, extrat and right click on oxygen-1.3.0.exe, go to "properties" then "compatibility". Now, tick "run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 7" click "APPLY". connect your oxygen 25/49/61 and run the oxygen-1.3.0.exe file. That works for me. Hope it works for you.

It is worth a short for the Oxygen silver series as well.
