Xpand!2 Install Error - 0xfffffffd

When I launch the install file everything works fine right up to the point when the installer tries to open pace and (my guess) tries to authorize xpand!2. Then the installation process runs backwards and i get this error message:

It is frustrating, because I feel that I have tried just about everything. Any suggestions?

Oh, and Eighty Eight 2 installed without any problems and work just fine.

  • Hi Emil,

Thanks for posting. Sorry you are having trouble with this.

You are correct in that Xpand!2 is trying to access ilok. Try uninstalling the ilok software before running the Xpand installer and you should be ok. Then install and update ilok when Xpand has installed successfully. You will not lose any licenses by uninstalling ilok.

    Let me know what happens!

  • I’m thankful
    Thanks Corey!

You were right. Now Xpand!2 works just fine and the installation was flawless. I see the logic in it, but still kind of wierd that one have to uninstall ilok.

    Ah well, thanks again!
