This is a problem that has been irritating me for months now, and the only thing that I can really put it down to is MagicPrefs.
Several months ago, I began to experience issues with my MacBook Pro's trackpad settings after a restart. The checkboxes under the 'One Finger' section would become unchecked upon startup, requiring me to keep going into settings every time I turn on my MacBook and re-check the boxes, otherwise primary functionality that I use, such as tap to click and secondary click would not work.
After the problem persisted, I created a thread on the Apple discussion forums, which can be found here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/...
I tried everything that was suggested, such as deleting the preferences file and creating a new one, restarting... I even completely erased and re-installed Mac OS X. But none of this solved the issue.
The other day however, someone suggested that the problem could be being caused by MagicPrefs. They explained that they had come across many others who were experiencing the same issues as me, and they were also using MagicPrefs.
Therefore, I ask, could you please look into this issue. Whilst I appreciate it may not be to do with MagicPrefs after all, your software is really the only thing I can put this issue down to.
Many thanks,
Luke
