If I have selected 100 different names, what's the easiest way to set a "callback" date in 5 days for all of them?

Hi Casey,

I think the easiest way to do this would be to create a user-defined field to store the callback date for your entries, and to use a global edit to update the value of that field for all of the selected entries. By storing the callback date in a user-defined field you could use a saved search catalog to quickly retrieve all of the entries with an upcoming callback date within the next day, week, month, etc...

To set this up, you'd first need to create a Date user-defined field to store the callback date if you haven't done so already. If you're not familiar with how to set up user-defined fields in Maximizer, this tutorial video should get you started.

Once you've created your user-defined field to store the callback date, you'll want to set it for all of your entries. To do this, you'll want to pull up a list of the entries for which you want to set the callback date (e.g. the list of 100 names that you mentioned above), and use the Global Edit feature to set the values. This tutorial video offers a walkthrough of how to perform a global edit on a list of entries.

Finally, once you've set the callback date for all of your entries, you'll want to create a search catalog to quickly pull up a list of the entries that you need to call on a given day or within the next week or month. There's a tutorial video here that will help to get you started with the Advanced Search dialog and using search catalogs. For this saved search, I'd suggest using a rolling date range, such as "this week" or "next week" to retrieve the entries you're looking for; this way, the search will always show you an up-to-date list whenever you retrieve it. You may also want to add the search to your Quick Access toolbar for one-click access to the list.

I hope that helps to get you started. If you have any questions about this approach or how to get it set up, please let me know.

Thank you,
Jason

Isn't setting a callback date the whole reason for the Hot List?
