initComponentProperties

Hi,

Is initComponentProperties callback function still available for VideoLoader?

I tested the callback function but it seems never called.

_videoLoaderInst.initComponentProperties = setComponentProperties;
_videoLoaderInst.loadAndPlay(1);

function setComponentProperties()
{
trace("check");
}

  • Hi Fabian,

    Hope you're doing fine.

    It should still be working on strictly on AS3. Kindly check link https://platform.mediamind.com/Online... for your
    reference.

  • Hi Fabian,

    The initComponentProperties is relevant only for dynamic component and only in AS3.

    You should use it in the following way:

    //creating instance dynamically and adding it to the stage
    var _videoLoaderInst = new VideoLoader();
    addChild(_videoLoaderInst);

    //callback to setComponentProperties method
    _videoLoaderInst.initComponentProperties = setComponentProperties;

    function setComponentProperties()
    {
    trace("check");
    _videoLoaderInst.offlineVideoFile=<URL of local file>;
    _videoLoaderInst.width = 200;

    _videoLoaderInst.height = 200;

    //set the location of the component

    _videoLoaderInst.x = 200;

    _videoLoaderInst.y = 20;
    }

    On a frame after you should call to _videoLoaderInst.loadAndPlay()
