This is definitely an idea worth considering!

However there are several ways in which we can implement this and thus it would be good to know what people would use the feature for.

Would you say that a simple green ball on top of currently connected users on the participant list would be enough for your needs?

Or should the online indicator be more visible? For example should the green ball / other indicator be visible also on the profile pictures attached to shared notes? Or should there be a separate more visible list of currently connected users somewhere?

    Hi Antti,
I think that the best idea is some indicator in the profile pictures of the members invited (like a check mark) with the possibility to share personal notes (like: "sorry, you have not say nothing yet and I need your opinion")

I'll try to explain better my need:
in my case, I want to have a meeting with 60 guests and I need to validate the meeting with the attendance of half of the guests. To pass the agreements I need demonstrate that almost 31 guests was in the meeting.

Another improvement would be to print the resumé: people invited, attendance (with the names), the text of the notes, the text of the chat... Is important if you want to send anyone the result of the meeting.

    Thank you very much.

    Imma Torres Andrés.

We have been thinking about your use case and I think Meetin.gs can help you get where you want to go! However after thinking about the implications of adding functionality like separate attendance validation and private messaging capabilities for Meetin.gs, I fear we have to take an another route in order for the system to remain simple and easy to approach.

Running a meeting at that scale will always be very hard on the communications side and I suggest that you keep the actual meeting as asynchronous as possible - maybe lasting the whole day with participants being able to review the materials, comment on them and confirm on the shared notes that they participated at any point of the day. If you require participants also to sign that they agree with all of the decisions made during the meeting, an another Meetin.gs meeting could be arranged for the following day where you gather all the decisions from the previous day as a separate document and just ask for people to post a shared note telling they agree.

The Agenda document would be a good place to guide users on how to act to fulfill the meeting requirements as that is the first material people see when they enter the meeting space. Outlining the required tasks in the customizable part of the invite message would also be a good option.

We will soon be adding a feature to easily send emails to participants which could be used for the purpose of reminding people that their input is needed or guiding them to action. I would suggest that using email (like this or directly 1-on-1) to remind people would get the message across with a higher probability than requiring them to learn yet another system to read private messages in.

I hope this helps you with your meetings!
