Newsletter results - I have been using the newsletter feature for about a year and usually 500-600 people open the newsletter. The last two newsletters I have sent (they usually go out bi weekly) have ad 0 opens out of 4500 contacts. I know this is not true because people have called or emailed with questions about the letter. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know why the results would say 0 opens two letters in a row? I have emailed merchant circle two times through the support page and received a case number but now response. It's been 15 days. Thank you.

Thank you for bringing this issue up as it is something we need to address. Several merchants have contacted us within the past two weeks complaining about this strange shift in newsletter behavior.

We recently introduced a new "Simple Publish" button within the newsletter section of the dashboard that allows you to publish a newsletter TO YOUR LISTING PAGE ONLY without having to schedule a delivery date or recipients. We were having issues with the newsletter feature not working properly and merchants getting confused by our old interface, so this change was implemented to simplify the process.

However, there are certain trade-offs that have been made which need to be clearly identified for our users. First, publishing to the listing page means that visitors to your page will be able to view the content, but it will not be emailed out to your contacts/connections. If you would like to have the newsletter delivered to your specified contacts, you will need to use the old interface to schedule a delivery and recipients.

We understand that this new system may not be ideal, but we believe it is a step forward in simplifying the interface we offer to our users. You are still able to publish newsletters for delivery, and the 0 recipients opened message is something incorrect that needs to be fixed on our end.
