Make it more simple (and intuitive) to change what the power button in the start menu does. Right now it's so hard to change it. I remember i changed it before but now I can't remember how to...Maybe add a right click menu to the start menu power button, so when you right click the start menu power button, you can change what it does.

Hi -

Click on the Start/Windows icon in the lower left hand corner of your screen and type "power options" in the start search text field. This will take you to Control Panel\Power Options.

Click on Change Plan settings under any of the listed, selected plans, and then click on Change advanced power settings, which opens the Power Options window.

Under the Settings look at the Power Buttons and Lid selection and you can customize the settings for how your PC reacts when you press the Start menu Power button.

More information on the power settings is
available here on the Microsoft Answers site, as well as on the Windows Vista Help pages. There are also several third-party tutorials are availableon the Internet.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for reminding me =)

I just wanted to say that you guys should make customization a lot simpler and more intuitive. I think this is just only one of many things that are very difficult to customize in Windows.

I tried this, but whenever I shut down my computer, when I turn it on again the start menu power button has changed back to 'Sleep' when I set it to 'Shut Down'. Is this a problem with Vista or my computer?
