I have configured internet conection sharing on my Vista PC but my friend, using a macbook, is unable to connect to the internet. I have a USB broadband modem connected to my Vista PC and a router connected via ethernet. The router is providing DHCP. The macbook is connected via WIFI to the router. What am i missing in the configuration?

If you're using a physical router then most likely the router is providing the DHCP information. When you use Internet Connecton Sharing, it will normally be the DHCP service and provide the IP to the computers that are using the PC with the Internet connection. Instead of using a router, just plug the two PC's into a switch and it should work without any issues. Otherwise you'll want the router to have the Internet connection and both of the PC's to connect to the router.
