Lost Gamertag

I had a gamertag way way back in 2004/2005. As far as I can recall, they had no emails associated with them back then. I have no Xbox now, so I can't get on Xbox Live to figure something out. In fact, when I created the account, the passwords were key combinations, so if I had the account information, I haven o idea how I would get into the account anyway. Even if I remember the key combination.

So, Xbox One is looking pretty decent and I think this time around I might lean toward Microsoft for my gaming. The name I use on literally every online service on the internet and elsewhere though, is tied up by me, on the old account, witch as far as I can recall, no email association, and no text based password.

How in the heck do I go about getting access to my old account and tying it to my Windows Live ID?

There has always been an email association for Xbox Live gamertags.
A password of key combinations - by which I assume you mean controller buttons - was used to restrict access to your account on the console.
