Follow these steps:

1.      On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click New Slide, and then click Reuse Slides.

2.      In the Reuse Slides pane, click Open a PowerPoint File.

3.      In the Browse dialog box, locate and then click the presentation file that contains the slide that you want, and then click Open.

If you are still experiencing the issue you can try  PowerPoint Fix Toolbox https://www.fixtoolbox.com/powerpointfix.html

MS PowerPoint is so popular because of its self-descriptive graphical user interface. Anyone can easily use it to create presentation files (.ppt or .pptx). However, creating .ppt or .pptx file is easy in MS PowerPoint but no one can deny from the fact that little mistake can flush off all the work in seconds. For example, you just abruptly close the computer while the .ppt file is open. That mistake can make you to perform Powerpoint File Recovery Tool which can repair because abruptly closing PowerPoint or computer often makes the .ppt or .pptx file damaged.
