I’m frustrated

.mmp file won't open anymore

version fusion 7.4.4.0
I have some mixes saved. But now some of them won't open anymore.
When using the open file command nothing happens.
I notice that these MMP files are much larger then other mixes i created with even longer playtime. those other open without any problem.
I don't get any error message, the progrm does't freeze, just nothing happens.
The last thing we did with this file was creating a MP3 file what also didn(t work out.
Who can help me out

  • Does no one recognizes this problem and have a suggestion/sollution.?
I copied the file to an USB stick and started it on another computer. I hoped the errormessage would come that the files could't be found but nothing happens. The file will not open and gives no errormessage.

  • Hi DJMarc,

I don't recognize this specific problem, but I do have an idea. I have had a problem where I saved a playlist as a text file which I then modified to a suitable format that could be used as a playlist for a mix hosting website. I had not modified the name of the playlist (e.g., I used the same name as the mmp file), and then I exited MixMeister. What MM then tried to do when I launched the program was to open the mmp file using the data in the text file instead. MM kept throwing errors saying the tracks could not be found, but the names were either the track artist or the bpm. I discovered that if I saved my playlist as a text file I needed to either 1) change the name to something different from the mmp file, or 2) make sure that I had selected File > Save Playlist again (after creating the tracklist) so that MM would recreate an accurate mmp file. Definitely a MM bug, imho.

Your problem is similar enough to make me think that your mp3 file is actually being read by MM as the mmp file. You can test this theory out by making copies of your mmp and mp3 files, then changing both of the files to have a txt extension. If you open them up you will see that the actual mp3 file only has a few items of recognizable text at the top of the file, whereas the actual mmp file will have many more recognizable paths, filenames, track titles, etc. (along with a lot of unrecognizable stuff).

    Let me know.

  • I’m sad
I have the same issue. Yesterday I created a new mix and saved it. The MP3 file was functioning very well, until minute 41 where suddenly the music stops.
When i wanted to check the mmp file, the whole playlist was gone, no error message, nothing. Then I saw that MM was still on playlist untitled, tried to open the mmp file again...still nothing happened!

  • Help please! My latest mixes won't open.
The mmp file is now the size of my actual mix but there's no wav. File created?
How can I fix this problem?
