Accidentally uninstalled Express, now Digital River not helping

I uninstalled the demo version of Express after I paid to unlock it, but without warning, this removed the paid for version as well. So I emailed customer service and they said "too bad." Even though this happened 29 days after I paid for it, they said I need to buy it again since I didn't buy the extended download service (which you need after 30 days). Can they be serious? What can I do?
