Copying various mix points in mixmeister

Hi everyone. I have seen a friend use this app. I thinks it's awesome. I have had a quick go and found it easy to use. It's like using any decent music production programs have used in the past.
My question is: I would like to copy all the data I would input and drop it somewhere else in the mix. I would not use the standard mixes at all. Everything i can program easily. I would program the mix just like I DJ the tracks.

I will buy this if I can copy all the selected mix data (volume, treble, bass & mid info) from one point and paste it at another point. Say if I did a one minute mix between 2 tracks. I could copy ALL the mix info from the start to the end of that to another place I could use that one min mix. . All the movements of volume etc. To start at another point. To us wit as a rough guide.
Or can you save your own mixes as presets.

You can do this type of thing in logic and cubase. Just the way you can draw the volume data and move/adjust the treble in those programs as well.

Can you do it ???
It will reduce the time Of programming the mixes massively for me. Making this a no brainer to buy.

Thanks for any help in advance.

  • I had to read your text twice.

    I use Mixmeister studio:
as the name says, great for use to mix audio but not on stage , except, a controller can be connected to minimize mouse uses.

Studio can copy track parts but *only* on the same track.
Studio can also loop audio but again, on the same track.
Studio can only select one track , sure not two or more.

Bass, treble etc: the most direct hit are looking at Key and Keycode fields.
it's clear: if You start a track that has key FM then other tracks that has also FM will sound approx the same, related to sound. keycode can refine this but unfortunately this doesn't work on my studio 7.0.1 using windows 10 pro 64 bit.

What is possible: create the mix then export to wav or mp3.

Start a new mix and load the previous mix where desired. Mixmeister will recalculate the key again for that one minute mix..

I would say: download the trial from Mixmeister 7 Fusion and test it.

Sure: mixmeister is a massive improvement in mixing audio cause it has excellent BPM aligning , key and keycode help identifying same sounding tracks, using effects and there is simple no competition within the DAW world or audio mixing software on windows, MacOS or Linux.

What does a DJ? usual note down which discs to use, synchronize beat but for all, experiment , experiment and try , try , try till the result is acceptable.

  • This is perfect for dis to create demo mixes. My mate is signed to a massive label. He Is touring the world. He uses this to produce his radio show. Produce all his mixes. It is amazing. I love it. You just set the tracks to -6db. Set a standard on at the start and keep it that way. Produce a wav and limiting compress it at the end you have a professional sounding loud mix set to -0.2 db.

You can add the vst plugins to create virtual mixers. My friend uses sonalksis filters to emulate a Allen and Heath xone 92 (roughly). I filter mix as well. It's just when you house DJ you know the bass comes in at the same place. That you mix at either one minute or thirty seconds. It's either a drop or bass comes in. House is a formula. It's roughly the same. So I know that I will be dropping bass from one tune at 30 seconds. And bringing another in. So my mixes a require standard it would mean fine tuning a generic set of points.
If the copying of mix data from one part of a mix to another is not included (I will down load and test fusion trial this week). Or having the facility to create our own template mixes is not included. It really should be. It would make it perfect.

I will download the demo and get back to everyone next week. I am going to add some vst effects. Filters, delay reverbs etc. To create a hybrid Allen and Heath xone 92 / pioneer djm900nxs mixer. Whoop. :-)

  • Copy from one mix to another works by just create the first mix.
    And save it as wav

Then load this wav into the library.

start your new mix and insert the wav iof the first mix.
OK, too long perhaps but You can trim tracks and move etc.
