Miramar Alpha 3 feedback topic

Summary:
WARNING: Miramar is Thunderbird alpha software! If you are not technical or not comfortable with alpha software, do not use Miramar Alpha 3. If you are technical, and have some time, please help us test Miramar Alpha 3 and if you have any problems,post a reply to this topic or create a new Get Satisfaction topic tagged "miramar 3.3a3" and/or create a bug in bugzilla. Miramar support topics not tagged "miramar 3.3a3" will be ignored.

Details:

Miramar Alpha 3 is a preview release for the next major (post Thunderbird 3.1) version of Thunderbird that is being built on top of the next generation of Mozilla's layout engine, Gecko 2.0. Miramar Alpha 3 is being made available for testing purposes only and is intended for developers and our testing community.

Some notable fixes and new features:

  • Tabs can now be reordered and dragged to different windows

  • Revised account creation wizard, offering improved set-up



This release does not represent the final product. There may be crashes and bugs that may potentially cause data loss in profiles (configuration data, preferences, downloaded mail).

Please do not use Miramar Alpha 3 in a production environment. If you are not comfortable with alpha software and do not know how to backup and restore your email and contacts, please do not use this build; instead please use our released build which is Thunderbird 3.1
