I'm trying to add a new account to Thunderbird but it keeps putting the settings on automatically and creating a new account header off to the side above my Local Folders header. That new account has a separate inbox and folders to the rest of my accounts. I have 3 other emails that all send mail to my local folders email, and this new one having its own heading and inbox is more than a little annoying for me. I'd rather not have it cluttering up the sidebar and just have all the mail sent to the default folder.
Edit: Yes, I have tried the Unified Folders option, but all it does is shuffle everything around and hides my local folders under their heading again and the unnecessary new account title heading is still there.

CHAMP1If it's POP,
Tools|Account Settings|...|Server Settings→Advanced and choose Global Inbox.
If it's IMAP then you can't use the Global Inbox. ISTR a trick using a "saved search" folder.....
You could always set up a filter to simply move all incoming to Local Folders' Inbox.
