I’m frustrated

Outlook 2003 seems to handle account folders better

I am trying Thunderbird before migrating (possibly) from Outlook 2003. Apart from the annoyance that there seems to be no provision for automatic importation of the accounts and their settings (other programs such as Mailwasher seems to be able to deal with this),

when I come to view the mail, I find that each email account has its own inbox. Outlook allows all messages to be combined into one inbox and sub folders, with mail rules applying to all accounts. Can Thunderbird do this?
