Trying to any attachment PDF, PPT, etc. gives the following error (this was a PDF):
C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\Temp\y8NcuOt_.pdf.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator.
This didn't happen in TB 11.0
Other users have the same problem after upgrading to 11.0.1. No working solution in the replies.
The attachments are neither corrupted or too large.

Thank you for replying so quickly. I did try your suggestion,
but it didn't solve the problem. The folder does exist and I did
clean it up.
I also disabled my AV software to see if it was preventing
these files from being read and written. That didn't solve the
CHAMP0It may be a connection problem.
Can you verify your Internet connection? Do you see any other strange effects?
Another possibility are the Windows security settings. Even though the article applies to Firefox, it should be valid for Thunderbird as well.
Internet connection is fine. No strange effects observed. The Windows security settings are as suggested. This behavior started with TB 11.0.1. I think I'll try reverting to TB 11.0 and see if that helps. Thank you for the suggestions. I'll let you know if reverting to TB 11.0 helps.
