Problems setting up netaddress email

I am having trouble setting up my netaddress email account. I have tried the pop3 and imap settings and I still cannot get my email. Does anyone have the correct setup information for netaddress email accounts?

  • usa.net SHOULD have those settings, but unfortunately their "help" pages are not accessible unless you have an account with them -- so I can't look at them to tell you what they should be. Check their "help" or "FAQ" pages, and let us know -- by posting the info back here -- what they say the settings should be.

I tried to check Mozilla's ISP database to see if that contained any information for usa.net, but the "list" function seems to not be available right now ("503 Service Not Available" error).

  • To configure your IMAP (Internet Mail Access Protocol version 4) compliant email software to retrieve email from your Net@ddress account, please follow these steps:

1.Go to the set up section of your email software.
2.Set the protocol (or mail server type) to IMAP.
3.Change the Incoming Mail (IMAP) information to: imap.postoffice.net
4.Change your IMAP User Name or Account to your new Net@ddress User Name using the following format: hbaker@usa.net.
5.Change your "Reply To" address to your new Net@ddress address (for example, hbaker@usa.net).
6.For your Outgoing Mail (SMTP) information, you may use our SMTP server address, smtp.postoffice.net, or your ISP's Outgoing Mail server address, which you must obtain from your ISP. Note: If using our SMTP server, you must use authenticated SMTP.

  • OK. Those seem pretty straightforward. What problem are you having ?

If you want to set up a POP server, see:
    http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_me...

I'll be away from my computer for a few hours, so if you run into any problems, it may be a while before I get back to you.
